An historic tax credit project, the former Akron Central YMCA was completely renovated in 1986. The renovation created 55 market rate apartments and included the YMCA fitness center, office, retail, and entertainment spaces.

Larry Hecky was awarded Northern Ohio Live's Architect of the Year honors for this renovation in 1987
